Buyer - Engineering

This privately owned bespoke design and manufacture engineering company are looking to find an experienced buyer with a background in procurement in a manufacturing environment. The need has arisen due to on-going growth and now with a team of close to 70 people working in a high tech, high demand engineering environment with new projects coming in, the work load of the Purchasing Manager is just a bit too much!!

Managing supplier relationships, and specifically focused on buying and expediting established production parts, you will need to enjoy taking ownership of your own area of responsibility and be comfortable making commercial decisions on behalf of the business.

Analysing and planning the supply chain and inventory requirements through on-going communication with production planning and taking an active part in future new product development strategies, does need a commercially switched on buyer who thrives in a smaller company where you are recognised for adding value.

An experienced HR Officer looking for the next step up, working in a small and very busy HR team supporting an HR Director, has the opportunity to work at the UK Head Office of a multi-billion $ global organisation who employ around 250 people in the UK.

Your role will cover generic HR support to line management but will additionally expose you to working on projects specific to HR strategy and implementation of policies. Additionally a knowledge of payroll procedures would be useful to support a colleague as needed who specifically manages payroll.
